In the summer of 1969 this replica of a WWI German Fokker DR-1 was seen at the Colorado Springs airport. It was powered by a Warner Scarab engine. Present was recreational ice Skater and head of the informal "Flying Circus" skating club, Ray Friese. The pilot was on a movie promotional tour, flying the plane, owned by Tallmantz Aviation.
